So, what's her fixation with, "The Nanny," she doesn't know. She thinks there are subliminal messages within the show telling her to watch it. At any rate, Fran's inability to be a nanny, but a well kept, paid mother, who is allowed to go on dates, is what attracted her to the show.
In this show, the fact that Nanny Fine was a natural nurturer to these kids, loved their Dad since the day she was hired, was able to dress in her own (very original and sometimes stylish) clothing, go on dates (until he was ready to commit) receive room and board, (which included a butler) all while being paid to do it, astonished her. It was her ideal way to live a modern life, as a nanny, that is. ;O)
