News Flash: SiG's Senior Editor in love with The Nanny!!!

As you know, all timeless classics can be watched, over and over again. This is how our Senior Editor feels about "The Nanny!"  Although, Fran Drescher's voice and wardrobe is an acquired taste. She's addicted to it. Just as with any habit, they present you with the fix for free (So we've heard), in her case it came on public television (before converter boxes) then she was compelled to buy cable once the show was taken off her local station to watch syndication's on http://www.nickatnite.com/shows/the-nanny/index.jhtml

So, what's her fixation with, "The Nanny," she doesn't know. She thinks there are subliminal messages within the show telling her to watch it. At any rate, Fran's inability to be a nanny, but a well kept, paid mother, who is allowed to go on dates, is what attracted her to the show.

In this show, the fact that Nanny Fine was a natural nurturer to these kids, loved their Dad since the day she was hired, was able to dress in her own (very original and sometimes stylish) clothing, go on dates (until he was ready to commit) receive room and board, (which included a butler) all while being paid to do it, astonished her. It was her ideal way to live a modern life, as a nanny, that is. ;O)

Just one of the many confessions of an individual's love for the nanny, (throat clear) we meant "The Nanny!" ;O)
