Starting a workout can be workout in itself. However, it does not have to be. Researchers have found the only known solution is to dress cute. (Ok, that may not be a true statement, but it sure does work for me!) When it come to weight loss you really have to be "bout that life," and grimey where workouts are concerned. 

Working out is an investment from the monthly gym payment, home equipment, extra curricular activities and workout gear! Investing in your image shouldn't only come from sweating off those extra pounds! It should start with what you wear to sweat them off! 

Truth is, whenever you look good, you feel more confident. So from personal experience, just know, when your workout clothes shine, so do you.

Stay on Your Toes

Pedicures Are a Must!

While hibernating this winter be sure to take care of your feet. Pedicures should not be reserved for the hotter months. Pretty feet are a requirement all year round. In fact, when your feet are well maintained throughout the year, you won't require as much maintenance when it's hot out. 

On a Budget?

If money is the problem, we have a resolution. If adding this expense to your winter budget is an issue, go to your nail tech and switch to seasonal polish change appointments only. 

Prior to the polish change be sure to complete all other maintenance at home. This can be done by going to your local beauty supply and buy all the needed items to remove unwanted skin and keep your toe nails cut and filed with a toe nail clipper and nail file.

Not in Your Budget?

If a free pedicure is what you want. Have a slumber party with your friends where you all do each other toes. This is a fun an easy way to get all the best gossip, eat your favorite foods and walk away looking as fabulous as if you went a shop. 

Whatever your lifestyle and budget may be. Do what you can to maintain and stay stylish and on your toes.

This weekend STYLiN GRACE had the pleasure of attending the Fashion In Detroit event. This was the fashion event of the year. With designers such as Adriana Pavon, Jeff Garner (Prophetik), Femilia Couture and many, many more!

Adriana Pavon and Femilia Couture made their debuts at last years event. They've proven their ability to sustain in the fashion industry. Adriana Pavon's designs provide much color, while Femilia Couture lured us in with white, cream/ ivory colors. (and plenty of other color options, of course). Prophetik designer Jeff Garner created boots (as well as a host of other pieces) that are definitely on our holiday list.

The Fashion In Detroit runway show gives Detroiters the opportunity to showcase  premium designs by talented designers with the positive exposure we need to revitalize our city.

It's simple, with a splash of color and blows in the wind. The only accessory needed with this dress is confidence and Serena was born with this accessory! Serena is on her way to being crowned the Queen of Fashion in Manhattan. The Simmons' girls have done it again. Angela and Vanessa Simmons that is! They've created a flavor we can all enjoy in their Pastry shoe line. Check out their new "Home Sweet Home," Collection! Fall for Grai

Most times designers send their things to celebs with an effort to make their label hot. This can only be a great tactic when the quality of the product is just as great as the dream. In this instance, the dream came true. While we aren't positve this is the case with designer Grai and Halle Berry, we can vouch for the quality of the product.

As we were flipping through one of our favorite fashion magazines we were lured in by the attached photos (below) of Halle Berry. One would have to assume anything you send her way will look great on her, it's Halle "freakin," Berry. We can't imagine anything not looking too hot on her.

Just as many other celebs, she likes to mix and match her designers, but this designer stands out the most! The leather jackets she has been wearing makes the best statements about her. She loves quality, style and simplicity and that's all due to Grai. This designer has created leather jackets to be worn by all. The jackets are of great quality and provides plenty of versatility.

S4 Fashion War

As we all know, Serena and Blair only fight over boys and power. However, we've noticed a silent war developing between the two, in things they'd never admit to fighting over...Fahion and Vanity! That's right, it's Blair vs. Serena, silently clawing each other's eyes out over the best clothes, shoes, jewelry, hair and/or make up. Don't believe us, check out the photos to decide.

This weeks episode left the score 1 to 1! Blair scored in red with jewels and Serena in blue with heels!!! While others concentrate on the designer names, we focus on the confidence worn in the pieces to make our decisions. Both characters appeared to be much more confident, relaxed and truly in character while rocking their red and blue numbers, in this weeks second S4 fashion war!

Willow Smith

Where has time gone? We remember a time when Will and Jada  (Pinkett) Smith had to leave an award show because their young daughter was running a fever! All we can say is she was hot then and she's "hawt" now!!! Check out little Willow Smith!!! (She's not so little anymore.) She is maturing and at record speed, all while building quite a resume for herself. We've seen her acting career take off in movies like: Kit Kittredge: An American Girl and I Am Legend (Widescreen Single-Disc Edition). Now, she's escalating into the music industry, where her father began!

This little star is evolving and quickly, from an actress, to an entertainer to an all out brand. Displaying as much fashion detail as she does, there's no doubt she'll soon be launching a Willow Smith clothing line. Although, her parents may have opened many doors for her, she's making a name all her own.

Take a journey with us to see where she'll lead us. Just as the journey we've followed with her parents, this one won't be one to miss either!

This book really took us back to our days as a teen. If you think you adore Carrie Bradshaw now, you are going to love her as teen. She's just finding herself, all while being stylish, cool, funny and creative.

Although, her teenage crew is a lot less loyal than her peeps in New York (S&TC) as an adult. Carrie still handles herself well enough to make it through senior year. However, there were times, I wanted to knock some sense into her when it came to some of her relationships (friends, family, guys). She was really naive, like we all were at that age, but figured things out and made them work for her.

Just as in Sex & The City, CB reavealed her originality and individuality. The life experiences she faced as a teen somewhat prepared her for New York.

Bushnell really tapped into the mind of teens in the 80's. This book has it all. Style, curiousity, betrayal, defiance and more. It's a must have for all Carrie Bradshaw and Sex & The City fans!!!

We're not sure what we think of the dress Date Nights'  Tina Fey
chose to wear for this year's Emmy's. While it's not an ugly dress, it's not the prettiest either. We've actually started to believe she prefers to keep us guessing. (or more like praying she'll finally woo us at the next event!)

Come on Tina, why not be the best you can be in all arena's in your industry?

Maybe she should meet with Zoe Saldana's stylist to verify if her choice is remotely good enough for the Tina Fey Enterprise.

The issue is we really don't think she knows her style worth. She owes this to our community to be a better dresser. She's a funny, pretty and attractive. Not too many female comedians have that going for them. This is an advantage that should be embraced and utilized more positively.

You're in the pretty committee Tina, now we just need you to step over the line and go all the way...Come on...you can do it!!!We are fans, just a little confused (as usual) as to how we feel about the chosen dress for this event.

We know, we know... It's been a REALLY long time since we've written to you all.

However, today's post was resurrection worthy.

As we all know break ups can be hard to deal with and anyone who has seen "The Break Up," knows this to be true. Most times the worst break ups are in business. Super early this morning, I read about a public separation between Kimora Lee Simmons and Kellwood Co. While this article St. Louis Business Journal/ Biz Journal.com is very professional and explains what happens in slight details...Another source CoCo Perez gives more details in raw form.

This story is still premature so we will continue to follow it and provide updates as they come.

We at SiG adore Kimora Lee Simmons and the things she's done as a professional and have complete faith that she will restore her image and come back on fire as usual!!!

Hot Pink Hotties

Yesterday, before my current, brief and all of the sudden illness. I was in one of my favorite cafes when a young lady came in wearing these boots. Of course she was like a size 4 and wore these boots with a cute little hot pink blouse, jeans.

Young(er) people make everything look spectacular. These lovely boots come in other colors like lime green (fern) and blue (ultramarine). Just when I thought UGGs were losing their touch, they slip us a mickey. It's so interesting to see what color can add to an item. Since the young are trendsetters, I am sure these boots will increase their sales!!!

Stella McCartney- Double Faced Wool Propus Coat

This coat from Stella McCartney is a beaut!!! One the the main things we've been looking for this season are coats. Capelets are fine and very stylish, but they don't keep you warm. However, this is not true about this little bundle of joy. With the long sleeves, warm wool material and fully covered neckline, the only thing you'll need for this coat is...You! Draping perfectly below the waist, this coat will assure you make it to your destination warm and oh so fab!

Yesterday, we looked to the SiG Community for help, and boy did we get it. Our Senior Editor had a dilemma, she was looking for a nice inexpensive coat to wear this season. One of our (new) SiG Friends (CL) posted about a website called Dorothy Perkins. It's a European designer with mucho STYLiN GRACE!!! We absolutely love her!!! (We're sure, you can SEE why!)

Although we really wanted to post about this coat to the right, but decided we wanted to toast the "new tier," in right! So we went with the first coat we fell in love with to the left,  as  it is one of the many SiG Faves from this website.

Purple Reign

Ok, so as I stated earlier. Went to Target to pick up a few items, left with more than a few. Although... I am VERY excited about one item in particular. It's the Purple Converse One Star Hobo handbag!

You see, I've been flirting with this bag since I first began Christmas shopping. However, the bag must have felt mutual because it flirted back. That's right, the bag winked and said check me out. So of course, I did and guess what!!! It was on sale Baby!!! Without even thinking, this bag was mine (along with another one on sale of course, that I won't mention at this time!) But this pretty boy (bag) was coming with me.

See, this bag is a part of my New Year's Resolution to wear more color. So although the bag is purple, it will be worn like it's an everyday color, such as black, brown, white (when in season, or matches) or even Turquoise as it's the color of the year.

My point... Four days into the New Year and I've fulfilled my New Years Resolution... What about you?
